The Vampire Diaries and Vitrine's Garnet Teardrop Necklace

As if we weren't already thrilled that our necklace was worn on Young & the Restless, a few days later another one of our designs was spotted on The Vampire Diaries! (S6, E 604). This is the second time one of our designs was worn on TVD (previously spotted on Caroline, S5E516)

Character Gail wore the garnet teardrop necklace through this episode. Made out of 14K goldfilled, the teardrop features tiny garnets along one side (or you can opt for none) and the chain is also accented with garnets. You can buy yours here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/208422826/holiday-sale-the-vampire-diaries-garnet?

Vitrine's Rough Blue Diamond Necklace as seen on Young & The Restless

A little behind on updating the blog, but exciting news at Vitrine Designs! My handmade Rough Diamond teardrop necklace was worn on Young & the Restless (Daytime TV, USA) on the character 'Avery'. (E10516, October 20, 2014)

The necklace made with blue Rough Diamonds and pale blue aquamarine gemstones and hammered 14K goldfilled pendant, is an original Vitrine Designs piece and I'm so pleased that it got some airtime!
You can purchase the necklace here--> https://www.etsy.com/listing/207007879/holiday-sale-rough-diamond-pale-blue?

It is also available in Pale pink or silvery grey/white.

New York Fashion Week 2014 and OK!TV USA

I love fashion shows and when Fashion Week rolls round, it's all so exciting! I didn't get the chance to travel to New York but my jewelry did! (How I wish I could have gone with!!) I sent a few pieces to the host of OK!TV USA - Julie Alexandria, and she wore them to Naeem Khan's show as well as on air for her interview. Here are some pics because they're too good not to share! She is wearing my Druzy statement earrings (here), my silver druzy ring and my latest signature druzy creation- the druzy pendulum necklace in plum.

All the pieces are available at http://www.etsy.com/shop/vitrine

'Bite of the Vampire' Necklace seen on The Vampire Diaries Worn by Caroline S5 E516

Vitrine's gemstone necklace was worn by Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes) on The Vampire Diaries S5 E516 (aired on CW March 20, 2014). Spotted in the opening scene for the first two minutes of the show! What was even cooler, is that my name is Candice, and it was worn by Candice! Meant to be, huh?!
If you'd like your own TVD necklace, you can find it here. And below are the screenshots too!

Vitrine earrings seen on the Red Carpet... AGAIN!

Last month Actress Stephanie Drapeau wore Vitrine's Statement Smoky Quartz earrings to LA Fashion Week. Here are some pics and a video of her too? Isn't she just charming and gorgeous to boot?!

video credit: NY Fashion Times

When I first created these earrings, I remember wishing that they'd be worn by an actress to a red carpet event (yes, I'm a sucker for the Oscars and Emmys!) I think my year's been made! Earlier this year Actress Tia Barr was spotted wearing our Rutilated Quartz gem earrings to her movie premiere. Feeling pretty star struck right now :)

These rings were made for talking...

I'm often asked "What do you do?" and when I say I design jewelry and some of it has been seen on celebrities, it's a great conversation starter! People are enamored by celebrities, what they do, what they wear... It's kind of like an obsession now! Which is great for my line of work then! One of my pieces that people have commented and coveted is this cocktail gemstone ring that was gifted to celebrities at New York Fashion Week 2013. Not only did actors, media personalities and fashion designers receive this ring, but it also was worn by Aishwarya Ajit on Christmas Eve on Studio One Live (airs weekdays, Sunday-Thursday 7pm UAE time).

Watch the video here! ( Best shot is at 7:20 and 14:15 onwards) http://vod.dmi.ae/media/245006/Studio_One_Season_4_24_12_2013

It was also worn by Simone Heng, co-host of Digital Fashion Week in Singapore November 2013. Managed to get a screencap :)

And last (but not least) it's worn here by Australian Fashion Blogger Lauren at Stylelixir.com

Vitrine at the Golden Globes 2014

Vitrine is so proud to say that our jewelry will be displayed at GBK's luxury celebrity gift lounge held on January 10-11, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California, in honor of the Nominees and Presenters of The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards. In addition, our jewelry will also be gifted in the Swag bags that will be handed out to celebrities AND press attending the Golden Globes Gift Lounge!

Gifted are a selection of Titanium Druzy Gemstone necklaces- Silver White 'Rock', Cobalt Blue 'Raindrop' and Dusky Pink 'Rose'. Each gemstone is different, so giftees will get a necklace that no one else  has!

I've wire wrapped each stone and suspended each on silver chain. These are perfect to wear on their own as the sparkle and shape is very eye-catching. Rock necklaces are making a comeback on the runway so these are bang on trend for 2014.

I then included each in its own box with handwritten card and packaged them with ribbon and enclosed them in their own gift bag with my business card. 100 Boxes in total were shipped off to California!

If you'd love any of these necklaces I've got a limited number available here.

Check out all the other artisans who will also be gifting at the Golden Globes Gift Lounge:

This is the display piece featuring 2 necklaces for the female celebs and the bullet Pyrite Necklace for the male celebs to try on!

I can't wait to share with you who received these necklaces and their feedback! Stay tuned for more updates on Jan 10-11, 2014 from Beverly Hills!

Vitrine's Red Carpet Earrings worn by Actress Tia Barr

I've always loved watching the Oscars, Golden Globes and the Emmys, not for the dresses but for the jewels. Glamour and sparkle are what I'm drawn to and so inspired by! I designed a pair of earrings that used these beautiful ultra-luxurious sparkly AAA Rutilated Quartz Trillion Briolettes that were accented by teardrops that I hammered out of 14K goldfilled wire. This for me were the epitome of luxe statement earrings that would be worn to a very special event. Here they are below...

So when Hollywood actress Tia Barr requested them, I was absolutely delighted. She told me she'd be wearing them to a special event. But I had no idea till she tweeted me, that she'd be wearing it to a Red Carpet event. And not just ANY Red Carpet event... She chose to wear Vitrine's earrings to her Movie Premiere of Tumbleweed, in Hollywood, on Dec 3rd 2013! Here she is wearing them (Photo credit: Tia Barr)

And a close up...

I'm so grateful to Tia for choosing a piece from my line; one of my dreams just came true of having an actress walk down on the Red Carpet wearing my Statement Earrings!
Stay tuned for more exciting news from Vitrine :)

The Druzy Collection by Vitrine

Druzies are now so popular, and it's easy to understand why. They are textured and come in some amazing colors! When I started out on Etsy way back in 2008, I saw one and I was instantly in love. It really 'spoke' to me and reminded me of the rock sugar my mum would give me as a child! The necklace below was one of my first Druzy pieces in my shop.

Smoky Quartz Druzy necklace by Vitrine

When I was offered the opportunity to create a piece for the Stylist of the Hit TV Show The Vampire Diaries a few months ago, this gem is what was suggested. The Smoky Quartz druzy was oval but bore the same signature style of Vitrine's wire wrapping. The necklace was also bought by the Founder of The Artisan Group, Valerie Guerrero., who is seen wearing it (below) at GBK's Primetime Emmys Luxury Gift Lounge 2013 (and she is pictured with actor Raphael Sbarge, Hit TV show 'Once Upon a Time' who was also gifted my Carnelian earrings in his swag bag). Doesn't she look fabulous?!

Just in time for the Holiday Season, I've got some beautiful pieces in. I suggest you make a play for them because I have a limited number available! Some of the jewelry can be seen below and for the complete collection, see HERE.
