New York Fashion Week 2014 and OK!TV USA

I love fashion shows and when Fashion Week rolls round, it's all so exciting! I didn't get the chance to travel to New York but my jewelry did! (How I wish I could have gone with!!) I sent a few pieces to the host of OK!TV USA - Julie Alexandria, and she wore them to Naeem Khan's show as well as on air for her interview. Here are some pics because they're too good not to share! She is wearing my Druzy statement earrings (here), my silver druzy ring and my latest signature druzy creation- the druzy pendulum necklace in plum.

These rings were made for talking...

I'm often asked "What do you do?" and when I say I design jewelry and some of it has been seen on celebrities, it's a great conversation starter! People are enamored by celebrities, what they do, what they wear... It's kind of like an obsession now! Which is great for my line of work then! One of my pieces that people have commented and coveted is this cocktail gemstone ring that was gifted to celebrities at New York Fashion Week 2013. Not only did actors, media personalities and fashion designers receive this ring, but it also was worn by Aishwarya Ajit on Christmas Eve on Studio One Live (airs weekdays, Sunday-Thursday 7pm UAE time).

New York Fashion Week 2013

I am so excited that New York Fashion Week is almost here! My Gemstone Cocktail Rings will be included in all of the Swag Bags gifted to the celebrities attending GBK Luxury Gift Lounge at New York Fashion Week (Sept 6-7, 2013) as part of The Artisan Group.

 

For this event, I wanted to create something that was bold and unusual. I mean, that's what New York and NYFW is all about! So I set each Jasper Gemstone nugget in a gold setting. These gemstones range from vibrant fuchsia, violet and hot pinks to more muted taupe and royal purple tones. They are visually stunning!

I love creating a gifting 'experience' for anyone that received my handmade jewelry. So I completely personalized it with a handwritten note, tied to each ring and completed the box with ribbon, my business card and included it in my signature color gift bag!
